Pet care disclaimer

Pawkeeping can help you organize observations. It cannot examine, diagnose, or treat an animal.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Educational information only

Articles, checklists, planners, and email on Pawkeeping are general educational information. They are not veterinary advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, medication instructions, nutrition advice for a specific animal, or professional behavior or training advice.

Use the right professional

A veterinarian who has examined your pet should make medical decisions. Questions about behavior or training may also require a qualified trainer or veterinary behavior professional. Grooming, boarding, rescue, insurance, and other services have their own professional and legal requirements.

Emergencies and poison concerns

If your pet may be poisoned, injured, unable to breathe normally, collapsing, having seizures, bleeding heavily, or showing another urgent sign, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital now. In the United States, animal poison-control services may charge a consultation fee. Do not wait for Pawkeeping email or use the planner as an emergency service.

No veterinarian-client relationship

Using this site or sending us a message does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship or another professional relationship. Individual animals differ by species, breed, age, size, history, medications, environment, and current condition.

Accuracy and updates

We try to use credible sources and correct errors, but outside guidance and links can change. Check source dates, product labels, and advice from your own veterinarian before acting. Report possible errors to hello@pawkeeping.com.
